It's official: on December 20, 2025, the historic Rifugio Brunek reopened. Located at 1450m along the Mareneve road, immersed in the Ragabo pine forest, it has always been a reference point for skiers and mushroom hunters. The new management promises great news.
A Complete Renovation
Although the lava stone and wood exterior has remained faithful to tradition, the interior has been renovated. The rooms (double, triple, and a suite) now have modern private bathrooms and efficient heating.
The bar and restaurant area has been moved to the first floor to enjoy the view of the forest. It is the ideal place for a hot chocolate after a snowshoe hike.
Mountain Cuisine
The menu focuses on classics: macaroni with black pork sauce, legume soups, grilled sausage, and porcini mushrooms (gathered right in the surrounding woods).
The management also focuses heavily on evening events: sunset aperitifs in the large outdoor space that can host up to 200 people in summer.
