RequirementsIf you are looking for an authentic experience, far from the mass tourist paths, the Valle del Bove and Serracozzo Cave excursion is the challenge for you. This itinerary is designed for passionate hikers who wish to fully immerse themselves in the wild nature of the Etna Park.
The route offers a unique dualism: we will explore the bowels of the volcano by entering the spectacular Serracozzo Cave, a lava flow tunnel with a characteristic keyhole shape, and then climb to altitude and overlook the edge of the Valle del Bove. From here, at over 2000 meters, we will enjoy a privileged view of the smoking Summit Craters and the immense caldera.
Crossing forests of endemic birch trees and deserts of volcanic sand, you will experience Etna in its rawest and most spectacular form. A tour that requires a good level of physical fitness, repaid by breathtaking panoramas.
