A half-day visit suits travellers who want time for other stops and a first experience of Etna North. Our half-day trekking programme normally runs from 09:00 to 14:00: allow additional time to reach and leave the meeting point.
Etna and Alcantara normally runs around 09:00–17:00 and combines volcanic landscapes, the gorges and lunch. A longer day does not necessarily reach a higher altitude; compare the actual itinerary.
Consider walking time, transfers, meals and your interests. Tell us about any flight or ship departure on the same day; an estimated return time is not a guarantee. Summit trips require a separate assessment beyond how many hours they take.
