Lights and Colours of the Volcano
As the sun begins to set, Etna transforms. The Etna Sunset at 2000 m excursion is designed for those seeking a romantic, photogenic experience, away from the daytime heat and immersed in the golden colours of the evening.

Lava front of the 2002 eruption
Hop aboard our comfortable SUV or minivan (up to 8 people per vehicle) and immerse yourself in Etna's wild beauty. The first stop brings you before the lava front of 27 October 2002, the farthest point reached by the largest eruption of recent times: the one that changed the landscape of Etna North, destroying the ski facilities of Piano Provenzana and part of the Ragabo Pine Forest.

Piano Provenzana, Etna North
Crossing the Ragabo Forest along the Mareneve road, we reach Piano Provenzana at 1,800 m: a hub for skiing and hiking on the north side. A unique spot, set in the pine forest with an almost Alpine feel, with spectacular views as far as the Ionian Sea and the Strait of Messina.

Trekking to the 2002 Craters & sunset
An easy trek takes us up to the 2002 Craters at 2,050 m, passing near the base of the Monte Nero degli Zappini crater. Walking along the rims you reach a breathtaking viewpoint: Sicily's eastern coast, the Aeolian Islands, the Ionian Sea and Calabria on the horizon. The climax of the day, the high-altitude sunset, a magical and romantic moment.
